Q - In which geographic areas
does IGD provide a service?
A - Throughout London, South-East England, Birmingham and Manchester.
However we can quote for installing new schemes anywhere!
Q - What does my service include?
A - A fully trained plant technician will visit on a fortnightly basis
(or more frequently if you wish) to water, clean, fertilize, trim,
rotate and treat all displays for any pest or disease. We also clean
the containers and top up with fresh soil and mulch on a regular basis.
A supervisor or manager will visit on a quarterly basis to check that
our high standards are being maintained. All staff wear a company
uniform and we can arrange for an ongoing logbook to record visits
if required
Q - What is covered under the plant guarantee?
A – The free replacement of any plant that may fall below our
high standards. This assumes they have not been damaged maliciously
or as a result of a fall in temperature below a minimum level of 15
degrees Celsius.
Q – How often will my technician visit my premises?
A – At least fortnightly or more regularly if you wish. The
technician’s days are usually fixed for a regular day each fortnight.
Q – Are the plants mine to keep or are they rented?
A – This depends on the type of contact you sign initially.
If you rent the plants and containers they remain the property of
IGD
Q - Do you have pictures of your plants?
A – There are pictures of some specimens on this website, however,
we are able to supply many more varieties and further pictures are
available on request.
Q – What do you charge for your service?
A – We price each job on an individual basis as environmental
conditions vary from one office to another. Light levels, temperature,
humidity and location will all have a bearing on the service charge.
Q – How do I order a new plant?
A – Please talk either with your maintenance technician or ring
the office on 020 8444 1414. If we need to visit site to see a new
location there is no additional charge.
Q – Do you supply cut flowers?
A – We can supply flower arrangements via one of our approved
florists, or alternatively, we can supply flowering plant displays
such as Orchids, Guzmania or Tillandsia (see ‘small
plants flowering’ on plants section of this website).
